The piece is based on the archives of “The Valley of Peace” farm which was founded on messianic beliefs and inspired by biblical prophecies of Armageddon, next to Mount Megiddo (Armageddon in Hebrew). Inspecting the farm’s history through an eco-feminist lens, we examine humanity’s relationship with nature in the past, present and future, focusing on the dangers intrinsic to ownership and occupation of land. The archive material served to illustrate a narrative exploring the exchanges that early Zionism, messianism and capitalism has had with nature, specifically around notions of doom and deliverance.
